Ingredients
1.5 lbs ground meat
1 tbsp of vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced ( or 1 tbsp )
1 small onion, diced
16 oz dried pasta
24 oz jar pasta sauce
24 oz water (simply refill pasta jar with water)
parmesan cheese for topping
Optional:
Spinach Recipe to mix in like the picture.
Instructions
- Press saute on Instant Pot and add the vegetable oil.
- Once pot has become hot add the ground beef. Break apart while cooking. Cook until beef is browned, about 3-5 minutes.
- Next add in onions and garlic and cook an additional 3 minutes until onions are translucent. Press the cancel button.
- Add the pasta on top of ground beef mixture.
- Then add the pasta sauce and 24 oz of water into the Instant Pot, making sure that all the noodles are covered by liquid.
- Lock lid, seal valve, and press the manual button and adjust the time to 5 minutes.
- When pressure cooker is done cooking do a quick release by carefully opening the steam valve.
- Stir and serve topped with parmesan cheese.
Notes
- You can always add some Italian seasoning for extra flavor too, but it really depends on the sauce you are using. In this case I was using a jar of Trader Joe’s Vodka sauce. If you are using plain spaghetti sauce, then some extra flavor probably won’t hurt.
