Ingredients
- ½ cup popcorn kernels
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (or extra virgin coconut oil)
Instructions
- Turn on the Instant pot and press ‘saute’, then press the ‘adjust’ button to turn up the heat to ‘more’. Let the pot pre-heat until the display reads ‘HOT’.
- Add 2 tbsp of to the pot, add the half cup of popcorn kernels.
- Stir and spread the kernels evenly over the bottom of the Instant pot.
- Place a glass lid over the Instant Pot. Any Large lid will do; even a splatter screen would likely work, although I haven’t tried one.
- It might take around two minutes for the corn to start popping as it heats. I’ve had them shoot out of a 6 quart, because I was being too slow though!
- Let the popcorn pop until the popping slows to one pop every 15 seconds, shake the pot and let any uncooked kernels pop.
- Remove the lid and using an oven mit or dry towel, pour the freshly popped popcorn into a serving bowl.
- Mix in melted butter and salt, or your favorite seasoning blend.
