Ingredients

1.5 lb beef roast (top round roast in this case)
2 c. beef broth
Seasoning rub
2 tbsp corn starch
2 tbsp of water

Instructions

  1. Rub the roast with the seasoning. I used a pre-made mix called Rub Some Burger
  2. Set the instant pot to sauté with some oil in it.
  3. Sear roast on all sides.
  4. Add the beef broth.
  5. Put on the lid and set to high pressure for 60 minutes.
  6. After the 60 minutes let it natural release for another 15 minutes before releasing the pressure.
  7. Remove the roast and set the Instant Pot to saute.
  8. In a small bowl mix together the corn starch and water.
  9. Stir the mixture in with the broth in the Instant Pot until it thickens.
